RauchBohne Cardamom-Smoked Ethiopian Coffee Beans are our unique blend of Ethiopia's rich coffee heritage with a touch of smoky cardamom sweetness. These are 100% Arabica Ethiopian coffee beans, medium roasted by hot-air technology following a precise sequence of temperatures tailored to RauchBohne recipe. They later undergo our cold-smoking process, where they get naturally infused with the smoke of grilling freshly-crushed green cardamom seeds—no extras added. Giving the beans a subtle, distinctive smoky cardamom aftertaste and aroma.
The result is a balanced brew with classic Ethiopian notes of berries, florals, and citrus, plus a subtle smoky sweetness from the cardamom. It's perfect for pure coffee drinks, and shines in milk based drinks; try it with oat milk.
Good to know: Cold smoking is the safest natural smoking method for food. At RauchBohne, our beans are gently bathed in cool smoke below 25 °C for specific period of time, that produces a pure smoky flavor, without heat to protect the intrinsic coffee flavors.
